This doesn't happen in Opera (or firefox, but I haven't used it enough). I think it might be a problem with chrome.

This wouldn't happen with MathML.
(Sorry, sorry, ... I'll go back in my cave now.)

This is a problem with jsMath. For some reason, it creates container boxes for symbols that are too big sometimes. If you double click on the links, you'll see the source for the math, which tells you that something is up. If you try to select the links, you see something like this:
The boxes containing the symbols are "covering up" the links, so when you try to click on the links, your browser thinks you're clicking the symbols. Unfortunately, the only way I can think of the fix this is to edit the post so that the links appear further down (I've just done this). I haven't seen this problem with MathJax, so hopefully this won't be a problem after we make the switch. Sorry I don't have a better short-term solution.

The links in this question http://mathoverflow.net/questions/22324/what-information-do-the-roots-of-the-generating-function-of-the-nontrivial-zeroes didn't work for me, so I edited the question and ...
I think the problem might be related to a long sequence of latex with no spaces. I see odd behavior in the preview when I break this up using spaces.
