@fpqc: Indeed, jsMath stuff in question titles makes a mess on the front page, but sometimes it's really hard to write a good title without it. (Not so much in this case – the poster just didn't know how to type ω, but that is understandable.) If it is to be allowed at all, some effort should be put into it producing a reasonable result.

I was under the impression that people are discouraged from putting jsMath stuff in the question titles.

As far as I can recall, there has always been a blue underline under jsMath text in question titles. I assume this is because the question title is a link, and jsMath thus assumes its text will be blue and underlined, and therefore adds its own blue underline to text it produces. It would be nice if this was turned off, though it might not be easy and I recall Anton not being eager to make changes to jsMath.

I also could not find anything in the main stylesheet or in the HTML source. I am not much familiar with newer developments like CSS, and I do not know jsMath at all. However having looked it up, it seems to me that how jsMath is rendered, is being controlled by the javascript, using some other style file. The blue Harald noticed must be the blue for questions or links in jsMath(I am not able to figure out which). I guess Anton must have put in the blue there as well, when he introduced blue to the main screen. At first it was not noticeable since both the question and the underline were blue.

So he can enlighten us further.

Over at the question on Non-principal ultrafilters on ω, a blue underline under the ω appears in the title. I see it both in firefox and safari, yet I am unable (after a cursory search using firebug) to find an explanation in the CSS. It is separate from the underline that appears on the link when you hover over it.
