Close/reopen tug-o-wars are mitigated by the fact that you can only vote to close/reopen a question once. Also, quickly looking at Stack Overflow, which is a couple of orders of magnitude more active than MO, it doesn't look like questions get more views, even though there are more questions.

So, I was wondering if it makes sense to eventually increase the number of votes required to close/reopen a question. This would nullify needless close/reopen tug-o-wars.
