That was the first time I'd ever seen it used outside a technical mathematical context. It was an expression of delight at seeing something new, not a correction, whence came the "=D" face of excitement!

Have you tried contacting AIM first? IMO that'd be the most natural first step. If they don't have the information perhaps it would be appropriate to reconstruct it another way and MO would be a fine place to orchestrate it from.

Is a question along the following lines acceptable?

At one point in time there was a wiki on equivariant cohomology at http://www.aimath.org/wiki/localization/index.php/Main_Page associated to an AIM conference. Does anyone have a copy of the information that wiki contained? (I can't find it on the wayback machine either).
