SBS is not set up to automatically screen first-time commenters, but there is a filter that tries to screen spam for us, and it marked yours. As far as I know, it is a Bayesian thing so I can't tell you exactly what will set it off.

I hear that a sufficiently interesting question on the requests thread at the Secret Blogging Seminar can get you somewhere </shameless>.

One possibility that I suggested before was math reddit, but I don't know if it would be any good for this purpose.

So where is the place in the WWW where mathematicians can discuss opinions?

For instance, I would like to ask "How can we connect pure maths more to other sciences?". One solution would be via http://a.freshbrain.com/solvr/d/howto-connect-pure-math-sciences but I guess this is not satisfying and I don't know where to post this link.

Maybe there is no such place. Maybe most mathematicians don't want to go to such a place (and prefer discussions over real coffee). ]]>
