Anyway, it is unclear to me what was the point of asking the question in the first place: everybody knows that everybody knows that ... everybody knows that nobody knows the answer. I suggest we close such things at the first sight.

A new, recent answer to this old (2010) question http://mathoverflow.net/questions/18375/is-there-any-finitely-long-sequence-of-digits-which-is-not-found-in-the-digits-of has resulted in a steeply argumentative chain of comments and another new and argumentative answer. At the least it is time to close this question.
