Ok, please accept my apologies if I overreacted. However I am not quite understanding the joke; I even watched video professor commercials in youtube. If it was really a great joke, please carry on, and don't mind my remarks. Maybe I am too dense and old-fashioned.

@Harry. Yes, it is something like that. Your loudmouth is able to spew whatever it wants in MO or in meta, because he keeps the site running spending his valuable time on it which could have been spent on personal life, career progress, etc.. You hit the nail right on its head. We are thanking him precisely for that type of work, which he can choose to stop providing at any arbitrary time.

@Harry. After all we don't want Anton to think that we are a thankless bunch of selfish people who do not appreciate his work. Some appreciation is necessary.. I agree that adulation is also not good -- if that is what you were trying to get at.

I was considering the system message, but I didn't want to call attention to the problem and I expected a fast response. The login problem should be fixed now.

SE beta 6 was rolled out this morning, but caused unexpected performance issues, so Fog Creek rolled everybody back to beta 5. Oddly, this broke login. As of this posting, it's not possible to log in and it's not possible to post if you're not already logged in. Hopefully the SE team at Fog Creek will get this sorted out soon.
