Let me say that I am not an expert in this area (I didn't even know what this LLL was until I clicked on the link). But so far as I can see, the question is no worse than the average "What are some nice applications of X?" question, which are indeed often rather popular. (I have asked a few such questions myself, which were well enough received.)

I am not arguing that this question should stay open. Rather, I am asking for information and perspective from those who feel that it should be closed.
