I am quite OCD about writing things up. Far too much so, actually. It occurred to me that this tendency may not be bad for the quality of MO in the long run, should it be possible to implement the following:

After N edits of a question/answer, the question will not pop to the front page.

Please note that I'm fully aware of the need to think about one's questions and answers very carefully before posting them. I'm suggesting, though, that it would be nice to be able to edit the hell out of things over the years until you get them just the way you'd like them.
