One of these days some intrepid souls are going to do MO a favor by retagging all the "analysis" questions that are without arxiv tags. This will have to be done by hand: a moderator reassigning tags won't work in this case. Would be nice to have a minor edit feature for that auspicious day...

Maybe there should be a checkbox, just like on wikipedia, saying “this is a minor edit”? And then minor edits won't bump the question to the top.

I think it decreases the content quality that people who notice a bad tag or typo or typesetting error or a title which should be clarified can't quietly fix them. Should minor changes really cause the same behavior as adding an answer?
