As far as I can tell, the rendering on the mathjax page and the rendering on MO are identical. It might be that you accidentally set a cookie at some point so that your browser uses some weird fonts. Could you try deleting all your cookies from MO (or at least all the cookies that look like they might be related to MathJax)?
