Trying to explain patterns in functions of randomly generated numbers seems to be borderline on topic for MO. In such a case, I would not be surprised if many people consider it off-topic.

I'm not one of the votes, but I have serious problems understanding this question, and there I thought I knew all Euclidean trigonometry anyone could imagine. As I assume this question isn't really about least-squares approximation or random numbers, could you make it understandable without having this background? I kinda see what you are doing but I don't know what kind of answer you are looking for...
