They'll arrive next Tuesday. See Dan Erman if you're interested.

I've been more productive outside of my office, so I'm likely not to be there, but I'm usually not too far away. We can coordinate by phone (617 275 1573). If you arrive at a reasonable hour on Wednesday, let's try to find each other then. Otherwise, I should be accessible Friday.

If there's somebody in Berkeley who would be willing to handle (or help with) the operation of disseminating shirts, please let me know. Somebody from Madison, WI, is in town right now, so I'm sending a bunch of shirts back with him; talk to Dave Brown if you want one. Somebody from U Michigan will be visiting in mid April; I'll try to convince him to take a bunch of shirts with him; let me know if you want one (or some) so I know how many to send along. I feel like people are moving between Berkeley and Stanford often enough that it shouldn't be hard to get a bunch of shirts there.

@theo: I stuck the MO logo on a canvas bag in the zazzle store. If you prefer a different canvas bag producer, you're welcome to use the high-res logo (linked to here) to order a custom bag from elsewhere.

@Mariano: Great minds think alike? The logo is indeed the product of me messing around in inkscape. I'm proud of many little things in the design, but I'd welcome a makeover from somebody who knows what they're doing.

I am pretty sure in the correct hands the same idea would render much more impressive!)

NB Not that there is nothing wrong with the current one, but it looks eerily similar to what I might have ended up with if left to my own devices with inkscape :P

How do I do it myself?

Incidentally, I will have left for Chicago for the rest of the semester by the time you're back in Berkeley, so I'll have to pay shipping; if there's a box heading towards Northwestern, it can probably hitch a ride, and if there isn't then I have some work to do advertising the site.

Will do!

(Regarding the paypal thing, that's just fine (without me sending my CCN to you, that is)! I just don't want to have to set up a paypal account, which is an immense pain! You need to set it up wrt your bank acct if I remember correctly, and there's some kind of stupid waiting period between setting it up and paying someone.)

You have to enter an email and password, and are given the option of creating an account, but are welcome to decline. I'd be surprised if there were a lower hassle way to do it. If you prefer, you can send me your CC info, and I can use it to pay myself through paypal, but this is strictly worse, both from the point of view of security (for you) and from the point of view of generating hassle (for me) =). I assume both paypal and your credit card will take a small percentage, and I'm not pricing these to generate a profit, so I may have to ask for slightly more if you want to use CC ($7.50 or something ... I'll have to see how much they skim).

I take your post as a suggestion to order more L's and XL's relative to the number of S's and M's.

Also, in your case it may make sense to figure out who else in your department wants a shirt so you can split shipping. For example, François and David Speyer are both at Michigan (grep -i "ann arbor" users.xml | sort -t \" -k 4 -n produces more, sorted by reputation). Of course, this is just a suggestion.

I'd definitely take 2/3 XL's and 2/3 L's if there's an easy way to pay you. If I have to register a paypal account, though, it's not worth the hassle =).

S: 24 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
M: 22 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxyyyyyy
L: 16 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
XL: 6 xxxxxx
XXL:4 xxxx

(the y's are there because I still have a few mediums)

If you email me, I can send some to you ($7/shirt plus shipping). This probably makes most sense if you have half a dozen friends in your department who also want shirts.¹ This is your opportunity to complain about the distribution (e.g. "I have a heavyset family of eight who love MO. Please order more XLs for us.")

If you want other MO swag, or you want a fancier T-shirt, or you want the design to be slightly different, you can get it from zazzle. If you want something else (e.g. tote bag, hat, tie, apron, pet clothing), it's pretty trivial for me to add an item to the zazzle store, so feel free to ask me. You can also do it yourself if you like.

¹Note: Valentine's day is coming up.
