In addition to @user replies in comments, we should also be able to edit comments (within 5 minutes of posting). I'm also looking forward to advanced search options and timeline.

Maybe someday MO will too? ]]>
Harry Gindi comments on "Semi-threaded comments" (3739) http://mathoverflow.tqft.net/discussion/275/semithreaded-comments/?Focus=3739#Comment_3739 http://mathoverflow.tqft.net/discussion/275/semithreaded-comments/?Focus=3739#Comment_3739 Wed, 10 Mar 2010 02:19:19 -0800 Harry Gindi At the moment, if I post a comment on another person's answer and that person responds, I am not notified about the response. I realize that MO does not want discussions, but sometimes when discussing a question or answer, it's useful for the other person to know that you've responded to his or her comment. The feature request proposal: Give users the ability to either notify another user that a response to a comment has been posted, or allow threaded comments through use of a "reply to comment" button.

Are there any arguments against this proposal?
