It's a small gesture to show that we at MathOverflow support Topeka's recent name change (formerly Google), despite it seeming backwards to many people.

Maybe the box could be stretched a bit further to the left, so that it looks more like the "math" is "overflowing" out of the box?

Indeed. I've never used TeX with a right-to-left language, so every single overflow I've ever had had the overflowing ink on the right! :P
