Question 2117 was asked on October 23 and answered the next day, yet it did not show up in the feed until today. Unless this is a rather unusual one time event, it means one cannot rely on the feed to stay current. How come?
  2.
The feed seems pretty good to me. How are you getting yours? Mine comes via google reader.
  3.
I get it directly. However, I just realized what is going on. When a question is edited, it pops up in the feed again, as if it were a new question. That confused me.
  4.

How many feeds are there? Is there a choice in what gets "fed" to me? Some might like a feed just of questions in their tagged list, while others might like to see all new questions. I'd go for new questions, but genuinely new.

    What are the choices?

As far as I know, there are three types of feeds: the recent-questions-feed (http://mathoverflow.net/feeds), tag-feeds (like http://mathoverflow.net/feeds/tag/algebraic-geometry), and user-feeds (like http://mathoverflow.net/feeds/user/66). The Stack Overflow team has implemented feeds for all views (newest, featured, hot, highest-voted, active), but this hasn't been worked into Stack Exchange yet.

We should FAQify this at some point. The plethora of feeds available is confusing at first.
  7.

Oh, I forgot that there are also feeds for individual questions. See Tip number 9.
