Bug reports: open id login (via google) does not work in konqueror

    The google logo simply doesn't appear. In firefox it's there.

    My Konqueror is 3.5.10

    I don't get the problem under Konqueror 4.1.0 or 4.3.2, but with 3.5.10, I don't get any of the openid logos. You should post this as a bug at meta.SE since I don't think there's anything I can do about it, and then post a link here so I can go vote it up. For now, you could just type in "https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id".

    Edit: I see you posted the bug and it was declined. After some experimentation, I think the bug is actually konqueror's fault (see my answer).
