I typed most of a question, and then found that I didn't know how to upload a file comprising a graph. How do I do this?

I don't think you can upload a graph to an MO server, but you can include a graph by using standard html <img src=http://blah> and host the file on your webserver.

You could host your image on Dropbox, or Ubuntu One or Photobucket or any number of free photo/file sharing websites.

To ensure the image sticks around, you could use Stack Exchange's imgur account in this manner.

For insuring that the image sticks around, I think there is no substitute for hosting it at "http://yournamehere.com" , where yournamehere.com is a domain that you own. The server might disappear, but you can always transfer the contents and point your domain to your new server.

This comment was an apology for inadvertently making the made-up address in the previous comment linkable. Now it's an apology for not realizing that I could have just edited the comment, as David Roberts points out in the comment to follow. I fixed the link, but can't seem to altogether remove this comment.

Steve - you can edit your comment to make it into something that won't render into a link.
