On stackexchange when one is awarded a badge, one can tell how it happened. Is that possible here? (I just got a notice saying I was awarded the "taxonomist" badge, which happens when 50 people use a tag that one has created. But it doesn't say which tag and I don't remember creating any tags here.)

    Short answer: no.

Long answer: for certain badges you can tell through other tools ("nice answer", for example, via your reputation tab). But there's no built in way to show it like in SE2: that is a feature that they introduced in that version of the software.

In you really want to know, you may be able to track it down by looking at the tags with 50+ questions here, see which tags have recent questions (not newest, since you could've gained the badge from a retag), and see which of those were created by you.

Looking at it that way, it _could_ be "riemann-zeta-function", since one of mine is the oldest question bearing that tag. When you click on a tag, is there a way to tell who created it?

Well, there probably wasn't an older instance of that tag (we would see it, there's small chance it has been retagged or deleted).
