    Is it possible to edit comments (as opposed to editing questions and answers)?

    Sadly, no. This is, by far, the number one "feature request" we have here on MO. Someone else will tell you what the status of that is -- I find the process by which feature requests are made (let alone implemented) to be somewhat tedious.

    Nope. I just delete them and post a corrected version (admittedly a problem if this puts them out of order).

    On the other hand, if you're leaving comments that rely on being in order, perhaps you're doing it wrong!

    I do as Ben does if no one has responded yet, and post a second comment explaining what was wrong with the first if people have responded.

    This feature was recently implemented on S[OFU] (you can edit comments within five minutes of posting them). New features (and bug-fixes) in S[OFU] will be merged into SE after it comes out of beta, which is probably about a month out.
