The question http://mathoverflow.net/questions/13851/the-inverse-galois-problem-and-the-monster was made a community wiki question - which doesn't make any sense to me, and now it even looks like I asked the question myself, which is not true - and also my answer was made "community wiki". Is there any good reason for this? (I can't think of one :))
  1.

Upon the ninth revision, your answer becomes community wiki.

That doesn't make any sense to me, but ok, it is a reason.

But why is the question also community wiki?

The questioner made it community wiki for some strange reason. They are completely unrelated, as weird as that sounds.

  2.

The ninth-edit community wiki rule is sketchy, but sketchier is the fact that that makes future answers community wiki too. I just got hit by that for a question where the ninth-edit occurred while I was typing my answer — that's very, very annoying...

What does [status-deferred] entail on this relevant meta.SE request?

No idea, but I had a similar post.

Thanks Harry, I think everyone who hasn't should go and upvote your request...
