    I recall in the past while entering a tag while asking a question, you could type the first couple of letters and see what tags were already in existence, a feature I found useful. I just asked a question and this feature was no longer there. What happened?

    I'm running Firefox 3.0.18 on XP if that is useful

    (also, and this belongs on a different topic, the first time I tried to submit the question, I got an error message saying that my email address was invalid (which it can't have been since it was unchanged from my earlier questions)).

    I think the feature is still there, it just gets sluggish if the network or the server is sluggish. Sometimes it gets so sluggish it seems nonexistent.

    The feature should still be there, as Harald said.

    Can you tell me a bit more about the circumstances of your error message? Did you check the "notify me of answers" box? Did you use the email currently in your profile? In other words, can you provide another data point for this bug?
