    This verification actually acts on my nerves. I was checked 3 times today and that isn't the record. Is it possible to disable it for the registered users with at least 1K reputation?

    The captcha is triggered when you take "too long" (20 minutes?) to compose/edit a post, which is silly. This has been corrected on S[OFU], but not in SE (yet). I posted a feature request on meta.SE to raise/remove this upper time limit.

    It is also triggered when you try to do two edits in a row on a post.

    To be honest, it really doesn't bother me. I don't really understand what kind of attack it's preventing against though, since it's certainly not doing anything against actual spam.

    Aren't captchas discrimination against artificial intelligence? Since AI will have talents that are advantageous for certain types of math, we might consider being more welcoming... :)
