I noticed that after making a major change or addition to an answer, the thread does not move up the queu and (I think) the owner of the thread is not notified. Do you have to start a new answer to get action?

You can leave a comment on the main question to the effect of "I have made a major change to my answer" to leave a notification of the change, because edits to answers are not reported to the question owner. However, aside from that, a major (or minor) edit will move the question back to the top of the "Questions" page of the site.

    Thankss, Harry.

Bill, this may depend on which view you use. Such changes do move the question to the top of the "active" questions, but not to the top of the "newest" questions.

Oh, that explains it, Mark. Thanks.
