    Hi,

I just wanted to report that I couldn't display Latex on the forum

I have posted on user's group of jsMath and someone says that it is a bug on the forum and that is has nothing to do with jsMath

Here is the link to the post I left on this forum

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsmath/forums/forum/592273/topic/3761789

    Any help appreciated

    Regards

Do you mean meta? There's no jsmath on meta....

    No in the mathoverflow.net forum

I thought it was on the meta forum we had to report bugs about Latex on the forum...

Am i wrong about this ?

If this is the case, sorry for that, my mistake

    Regards

Hi @TheBridge, I think the confusion there arose because no one refers to mathoverflow as "a forum".

I'd strongly recommend trying a modern browser (firefox, safari, opera, chrome, etc). None of the moderators, to my knowledge, and relatively few of our users, use IE, so we don't have much experience diagnosing problems there.

See also the last few comments on the http://tea.mathoverflow.net/discussion/30/4/report-bugs-with-latex-jsmath-rendering-here/#Item_27 thread, where someone has had a similar problem with IE.

    Thx for your answer Scott

Unfortunately I'm not authorized to use any other browser in my current location

So I'll have to live with it (i.e. I'll convert Latex code on some other place when interested by a topic).

    Regards

If you do ever find out what's causing the problem please let us know. If there was something we could do easily to make it IE compatible we would, but as Scott says it's not something anyone here can sort out easily and it's relatively low priority since IE use is so rare.

I've made the change that Davide suggested. Does it work now?

I should also tell Davide that the easy-loader didn't work for us on MO. He may be able to tell me why.

I just wanted to report that for some threads only a percentage of the Latex Code is dispalyed (which better than none) and that I have a on the donwside left of my explorer window a little box saying "Processing Math xx% " with xx% typically far from 100%.
Moreover the "jsMath" box is not accessible when this happens.

I've had a similar problem with IE (under Vista). The typical percentage was 32%, and it didn't increase one iota after repeated reloads that usually cure a similar problem with Mozilla.
