Sorry to spam meta! I'm trying to keep track of people I know who'll be at the ICM. If I know you "offline", please let me know, here or by email. The ICM is probably too big to expect to run into people. If there's interest, perhaps we can have a MathOverflow dinner one night in Hyderabad.

Assuming favorable resolution of many uncertainties, not the least of which is the approval of the visa application, I will be in Hyderbad on the 18th, the 31st, and many points in between. I hope some non-American MathOverflow regulars will also be there.

You can download the latest list of registered participants and do some processing on it if you want to predict who else from MathOverflow will be there.

Uncertainty after uncertainty resolves favorably. I hope my flight gets me to Hyderabad in a condition fit for attending.

A suggestion to Scott Morrison, to promote MathOverflow. It is likely there will be a cafe or communal gathering for
lunch between the morning and afternoon ICM sessions. If so, and if security doesn't object, get a small banner with
MO on it (and a small amount of promotional material) and set up an MO lunch table for each day of the congress.
In college, there were similar tables for special interest groups such as practicing foreign languages. I would attend and give some support to such a table, whereas I can't yet guarantee my participation at dinner.

Sorry to spam meta one more time.

I am too timid to make the suggestion to the people who are putting out the ICM Daily Newsletter, but
perhaps Scott Morrison might be so bold. In today's edition is mention of a mathematical search website
at hs-bremerhaven.de; perhaps tomorrow's edition can contain a similar mention of MathOverflow?

    Ooh, I'll try!

Could I be really cheeky and ask you (Scott) to see if you can mention the tex.SE site as well? I'd like to think that it would be of interest and use to mathematicians.
