Hi, I'm sure this has been answered a few times, but I couldn't find where. How do I get the curly brackets {} to show up in a formula? (The LateX \{ command does not seem to work)
  2.

The command \{ works when the math expression is surrounded by backticks. For example, `$V = \{x : x = x\}$` works as expected.

    Thanks!
  4.
    Alternatively, use \lbrace and \rbrace.

Hehe. Thanks Gerry. I always forget that option.
  6.

    Or double the backslashes: \\{.
