I think this idiot probably is trying to write something he thinks is a mathematics paper, as in his first question. On second thought, this is a way to post an infinite string of crappy questions.

The other one I've been pondering is by Eta, peculiar combination of L-functions that surprised people. The part I really disliked is his comment after the answer asking for the first ten roots numerically. I would cast the final vote to close but I'm not sure that's what people want.

I believe Will Jagy is referring to this question, for those who are interested. It has 4 votes to close right now. I feel that the question itself is not very well written or motivated, but I cannot judge whether there are mathematical interest in the question, so I will not vote.

I get it, yes you do know what it means.

They did that on an episode of The West Wing, the lawyer played by Oliver Platt is trying to get C.J. (Allison Janney) to stop answering more than the minimum she is asked. He knows it has worked when he says "Do you know what time it is?" and she answers "Yes, I do."

@Will: in this context it might mean "you've put me in my place!" (possibly with a sarcastic undertone). Generally it means "you've put X in their place!" where X is a third person. It's sort of unusual for X to be the person saying it.

so, "A touch, I do confess it. I fear I breathe my last."

It's not in my lexicon, but I figured it was pretty close to saying, "oh, snap!"
