Hi. I have no idea whether this is a problem on my end or a bug. In many questions I have noticed that the spacing after a formula is removed, so there is some overlap in the way things display at the end. For example, look at the first line in this question: http://mathoverflow.net/questions/47286/cyclotomic-extensions-with-split-galois-group or of this one: http://mathoverflow.net/questions/21003/polynomial-bijection-from-qxq-to-q (and there are plenty of other examples).

    Both display fine for me.

Hmm... I feared that would be the case. So it may be a feature of Firefox, or of some other software in my computer. If anybody has any guesses, I would be greatful.

I don't see the problem either, in Firefox 3.6.12 on the Mac.

The first one looks funny, but the second looks fine (firefox on Windows 7)

I see incorrect spacing in both of them. I'm using Firefox 3.6.12 on a Mac. (FWIW, it took me a while to see the incorrect spacing; both examples are fairly unobtrusive.)

Oh. Unobtrusice, eh? We need to start posting screen shots, then. Here is what I see (Firefox 3.6.12 on Mac, MathML rendering):

The spacing does not seem all that strange to me.

I get this bug all the time; I think I remember reporting it on math.SE and being told that (in my case) it was some problem with the dev version of Chrome. Here's what I see in Chrome 7.0.544.0 on Windows 7:

It's extremely annoying, but it only happens about half the time for me.
