This is probably a relic from the olden days before Math.SE existed, but apparently Mathematics.StackExchange.com redirects to here (MO), instead of math.SE.
As shown recently at a Meta.MSE question, this may have contributed to the inflow of some users who were looking for something more like MSE and resulting in us having to redirect them there.
@Everyone in general and @Anton in particular: can we have the redirect replaced so that mathematics.stackexchange.com points to MSE? It will remove some confusion (the impression that MO is part of the SE2 network etc.) from potential newbs.
Sounds good to me. I can't imagine any reason we should care about retaining the mathematics.stackexchange.com domain. But I can't make the change myself. I've posted an answer inviting SO Inc to do it.
